Service Description
During the volleyball course, athletes will learn the fundamentals of volleyball. An emphasis will be on correct form to help athletes have a strong foundation to build from. Athletes will learn how to pass, set, hit, serve, and rotate properly. Classes will be a mix of drills and game like play whenever possible. • Teach the athletes the layout of the volleyball court, names of the specific areas of the volleyball court, and rules of the game. • Each session will start with warmups to get the body ready to move, then will move into ball handling drills: partner passing and partner setting. • Passing: athletes will learn the proper passing form and footwork through numerous passing drills. • Setting: athletes will learn proper hand placement and footwork to develop setting skills. • Serving: athletes will learn proper techniques for underhand serving, and for older athletes, they will also learn overhand serving. • Learn the rules of volleyball: knowledge of referee hand signals, how to rotate on the court, and the different positions. •Hitting: athletes will learn the basics of hitting, proper arm swing, and proper approach. • Scrimmage/game: game like drills will be used as often as possible. Scrimmages will be used to teach athletes how a real game will feel.

Cancellation Policy
All class fees are non-refundable. These fees help us compensate our dedicated teachers and maintain the quality of our programs. The class fee covers the entire semester for the selected class. In addition, there is a one-time $20 registration fee per student, which helps provide initial funding for materials, space rental, and administrative costs. This registration fee is separate from class tuition. If you would like to participate in a class as a student, you must register and pay the class fee—regardless of age. Due to limited supplies and funding, only registered and paid students will receive materials and be included in activities. Parents are welcome to observe without participating in class activities. However, we strongly encourage parents to drop off their children when possible, as this provides a valuable opportunity for students to build independence and confidence while learning from trusted teachers. Thank you for supporting Boulder City Homeschool Hub!
