Each session focuses on hands-on learning, building comfort on the water, and developing a lifelong love of outdoor adventure. All equipment will be provided unless otherwise noted. We highly recommend layers of non-cotton clothing (anything quick dry) and require shoes that can get wet. Note that student's feet will get wet anytime we are getting in and out of kayaks. We also recommend beanies for heads and wool socks this will help keep your child warm even with wet feet. Students should also bring a change of warm clothes to each session. While we do not anticipate capsizes, kids are unpredictable (as are adults) and we want to be prepared. Some classes will be held in our classroom in Boulder City and a change of clothes will not be required on those days. note to parents that during inclement weather we will hold dryland class in our classroom at Desert Adventures. This would be something like a severe thunder or rainstorms or excessive winds. Not cold, or sprinkles or any other mild conditions. This is an outdoor sport! The kids will be delivered by parents to class location which will be primarily Lake Mead, Personal Watercraft Beach or Desert Adventures for indoor session. We will send out info to all participants (parents) via email upon reservation and they will need to fill out waivers and medical info, height and weights, etc

Cancellation Policy
All class fees are non-refundable. These fees help us compensate our dedicated teachers and maintain the quality of our programs. The class fee covers the entire semester for the selected class. In addition, there is a one-time $20 registration fee per student, which helps provide initial funding for materials, space rental, and administrative costs. This registration fee is separate from class tuition. If you would like to participate in a class as a student, you must register and pay the class fee—regardless of age. Due to limited supplies and funding, only registered and paid students will receive materials and be included in activities. Parents are welcome to observe without participating in class activities. However, we strongly encourage parents to drop off their children when possible, as this provides a valuable opportunity for students to build independence and confidence while learning from trusted teachers. Thank you for supporting Boulder City Homeschool Hub!
